Nicole L. Mullins, RN, MSN, CNP
“My interest in helping others led me into the field of medicine. I have always enjoyed the sciences, but not just biology and chemistry, I love sociology and psychology and understanding the human connections that makes us who we are. Initially I obtained a degree in psychology focusing on anxiety disorders and drug and alcohol addiction. I researched a variety of topics in both psychology and sociology. I wanted more clinical based work so I studied nursing and became a certified nurse practitioner. “
“I was the first in my immediate family to graduate from college. Being a nurse practitioner gave me a clinical base to care for others and utilize my psychology background. Education and assisting others become the best they can be is part of who I am. Being a preceptor for nurses who are becoming nurse practitioners at Northern Kentucky University and the University of Cincinnati allows me to assist other nurses achieve their personal best. I also have extensive experience in the field of cardiology. I recognize that caring for patients involves treating the whole person and will use my experience in sociology, psychology, and nursing to help them achieve optimum health.”
